Joy Identified

What in your life are you most proud of? Are you proud of your career? Education? Family name? Money? If your identity is found in anything other than what Jesus did for you on the cross, you've missed it! You'll never truly experience joy if you rely on yourself or others to bring contentment.

Sarah, who shared her testimony on whatsmystory.org, says she found her identity in her accomplishments and became very depressed when she failed to succeed. One day, she cried out and said, "Lord, dig me out of this hole I'm in!" She says she began a journey with the Lord, learning about His unconditional love and found that her need to be validated by anything outside of her relationship with Jesus kept getting smaller!
