As we begin our new series “The Real Light”, I’d like to start our first week off with the question...what does it mean to be real light to those around us?
Actually, there is no one better to tell us than Jesus Himself. Our Savior declares about Himself in John 8, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” When we place our trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, His light lives in us. And we can shine it in our families, our communities, and our nations. And truly, we need to! There are so many things we try to substitute for it.
We believe the lie that passions and success will fill us up with light and life, only to leave us empty. But hallelujah! Jesus made a way for us to have real light through His work on the cross. For more on how you can share this with others, visit us at sharelifeafrica.org
