What is real love? That is a question that all of humanity has wrestled with. You see, we all need love.
In fact, we were made for it! When God created man and woman, He did so in His own image and declared it good. And the Bible tells us over and over about the Father’s love for us. There’s a hymn you may have heard before that says, “How deep the Father’s love for us; how vast beyond all measure...that He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure.” Jesus told his disciples in John fifteen that “greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Did you know that Jesus—who is God Himself—not only came to earth but died on the cross for our sins in our place?
