Use words

You’re listening to ShareLifeAarica! "Preach the Gospel at all times; when necessary, use words.” Now, I've heard this famous quote over the years, and frankly it's silly if you think about it. In fact, I've seen this not work in my own life.

When I lived in Nebraska, I had a neighbor I was good friends with. I did all sort of nice things for him, hoping he would see the way I lived was for Jesus. But if I would've died, Bill would have thought, “Wow, John was a really nice guy. I wish I could be more like John." And that wasn't the message I was trying to get across at all!! Saving faith is made up of knowledge, assent, and trust.

And in order to know the Gospel, someone has to share it with you; and then you can agree with it and then put your trust in it. So,let's be encouraged to communicate the Gospel with others using words! For more on how you can be active in sharing your faith, visit our website at sharelifeafrica.org
