Joy Identified

What in your life are you most proud of? Are you proud of your career? Education? Family name? Money? If your identity is found in anything other than what Jesus did for you on the cross, you've missed it! You'll never truly experience joy if you rely on yourself or others to bring contentment.

Sarah, who shared her testimony on whatsmystory.org, says she found her identity in her accomplishments and became very depressed when she failed to succeed. One day, she cried out and said, "Lord, dig me out of this hole I'm in!" She says she began a journey with the Lord, learning about His unconditional love and found that her need to be validated by anything outside of her relationship with Jesus kept getting smaller! Now she has peace and abundant life! Fix your gaze on Jesus Christ.

Share with others how you can be confident because of His love, and you'll be filled with joy and give others the opportunity to experience this joy as well

True Peace

“He still loves me, regardless of what I did or how many times I turned my back on Him.”

Kenny was lying in the trauma room of a hospital as he said - and believed - those words, that Jesus loves him no matter what. Kenny had run for years from the Lord, despite God's relentless pursuit of him. Finally, in the chaos of a hospital room after a nearly deadly fall on ice, he says he found a quiet place in his mind, asked God for forgiveness...and received it! Philippians 4:7 says that "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Kenny found that peace after years of running from God. He offers that very same peace to each and every one of us. We can know that as His children, He is all we need. Stop running and start sharing the Good News of eternal life and peace found in Jesus!

Why you are here

Why are you here? No, I don't mean why are you in your car right now. Why are you here on this earth?

You see, a lot of people are going through life without putting much thought into answering that question. Why are you here? Who are you meant to be? God has made each and every person with a purpose - to bring Him glory. How can we do that? Well, we have to believe we are who He says we are. We are loved by Him and we can rest in that fact.

More than resting in His love, we should share His Gospel with everyone you meet. And you know, you can! In fact, this is what you were created to do, you just have to know how to do it. Once you learn, you won't want to stop spreading the Gospel! We'd love to help you with that.

Rest in Assurance

Are you sure you're going to Heaven after you take your last breath on earth?

Maybe you made a profession of faith when you were a child, like Jay. He said that at 6 years old he accepted Jesus but later in his 20s, he had some doubts. He says he's so thankful for the assurance of salvation he was given when another believer came alongside him and guided him through Scripture. He said he knew for certain that he was going to Heaven because of God's Word and a faithful servant. Jay says, 'Whether 6 or 80, the same gift of eternal life is made available for anyone who truly desires that relationship with God through Jesus.'

Take comfort, and find rest in the salvation of the Lord. All you have to do is call on His Name and repent of your sin - Jesus has paid the price!

Ojections

Remember, it is the Gospel itself, not our clever answers or power of persuasion that is the “power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.” 

When you encounter an objection to your Gospel presentation, the goal is to deal with the objection as simply and quickly as possible and then continue with the Gospel.  Two keys to remember are first, to research their question and return with an answer: Tell them, “That’s a great question.  Can I do some research and get back to you on that?”  Then continue with the Gospel before making an appointment for a future visit.  If you’re able to respond to the objection on the spot, do so quickly and get back to sharing the Gospel.  

With a bit of knowledge, many common objections can be answered quickly.  I hope this helps you as you share life today.
