Urgent

Sharing your faith. It's really the most important thing you could do. You know that, right?

Our most important goal and purpose is to bring God glory by sharing the Good News of the Gospel with the lost. It was Jesus' last command before He ascended into heaven, and it is our first concern. Junior is a biker, a real tough guy and not a talker. In fact, Junior was incredibly shy and liked to fade into the background. That is, until he met Jesus and learned to share the Gospel! Now Junior says it's too urgent. He has to share the Gospel whenever he can. Dear listener, it really is urgent. We only have today to share the Gospel, so what are you waiting for?

You just need to be willing to open your mouth and let the Lord use you. If you're not confident in sharing your faith, we're here to help!

Just As Jesus Walked

Are you walking with the Lord? You've probably heard that phrase, walking with the Lord, many times. But have you stopped to think about what it means?

First John two six (2:6) says, "The one who says he resides in God ought himself to walk just as Jesus walked." Now, those are big shoes to fill! Jesus walked on water! He healed the sick and raised the dead! How on earth could you possibly walk as Jesus walked? Here's the grace of God: even though we'll never be able to live a perfect life, we can know the One who did. We can have a very real relationship with Him and we can share with others how they can know Him, too.

Walking just as Jesus walked won't make you superhuman, but it will give you a supernatural love for others, and that love will enable you to tell them the Good News of the Gospel.

Real Love

What is real love? That is a question that all of humanity has wrestled with. You see, we all need love. In fact, we were made for it! When God created man and woman, He did so in His own image and declared it good. And the Bible tells us over and over about the Father’s love for us.

There’s a hymn you may have heard before that says, “How deep the Father’s love for us; how vast beyond all measure…that He should give His only Son to make a wretch His treasure.” Jesus told his disciples in John fifteen that “greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Did you know that Jesus—who is God Himself—not only came to earth but died on the cross for our sins in our place? Greater love has no one than this. And Jesus charges us to share His love with others.

Light in the Darkness

Sometimes, we can get discouraged by the darkness we see around us. Even turning on the news can cause us to lose hope. But let me share with you today second Corinthians four six (4:6), which says, “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”

The world looks very similar to the way it was over two thousand years ago when Jesus first stepped foot on it. And just as He brought light to dark hearts then, He continues to do so now through transforming those who trust in Him from the inside out. He replaces our old, sinful hearts with new ones.

And as new creations, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, lighting our souls with joy and peace. So let’s not keep it to ourselves. Let’s share our faith and give the hope the Gospel to others.

Light and Salvation

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” This beautiful verse from Psalm twenty-seven teaches us an important truth about Jesus—He is our light and our salvation.

Jesus did not come just to be a good example and a great teacher for us—the Bible tells us that He is our Savior. Romans three says that “the wages of sin is death,” and every person who has sinned has to pay it. Jesus told his disciples that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”

Well, all means all—that’s all all means! Every human has fallen short of the standard. But praise be to God! Jesus was more than just another man—He was God in the flesh who died on the cross for our sins. He is our light and salvation. Who can you share this Good News with today?
