Use words

Monday Jul 17, 2023
You’re listening to ShareLifeAarica! "Preach the Gospel at all times; when necessary, use words.” Now, I've heard this famous quote over the years, and frankly it's silly if you think about it. In fact, I've seen this not work in my own life.
When I lived in Nebraska, I had a neighbor I was good friends with. I did all sort of nice things for him, hoping he would see the way I lived was for Jesus. But if I would've died, Bill would have thought, “Wow, John was a really nice guy. I wish I could be more like John." And that wasn't the message I was trying to get across at all!! Saving faith is made up of knowledge, assent, and trust.
And in order to know the Gospel, someone has to share it with you; and then you can agree with it and then put your trust in it. So,let's be encouraged to communicate the Gospel with others using words! For more on how you can be active in sharing your faith, visit our website at sharelifeafrica.org

Filled with Freedom

Monday Jul 17, 2023
You’re listening to ShareLifeAfrica! “I have a home, a career, I sleep well and I'm free...” That quote can be found on what’s my story dot org in a testimony by a man named Maurice. He served in the US Army without any hope for the future before he met Jesus.
After his deployment, he became addicted to drugs and alcohol. He said that when he began seeking Jesus, his life did a one eighty. Jesus brings freedom from our past and replaces despair with hope and the desire for others to know Him as well. Romans six twenty-two(6:22) says this: "But now that you have been set free from sin and become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life."
So, if you've found freedom in Jesus, tell someone! If you're not sure how to share the Gospel, we would love to equip you to do so. For tools and resources to help you share your faith, visit our website at sharelifeafrica.org

Be Free
Monday Jul 17, 2023
Monday Jul 17, 2023
You’re listening to ShareLifeAfrica! If you're a citizen of the United States, you are free. You're not free because you've earned it, are you? Of course not -your freedom as an African is because of the men and women who put their lives on the line or give the ultimate sacrifice by dying for our freedom. It's also because of the sacrifices made by many who came before us.
You know, that's a lot like our freedom in Jesus. When we accept Christ, we become free from sin and its penalty. Angie said that despite her past marked with addiction and depression, she began to feel freedom when she finally cried out to Jesus. We cannot be free from our sin without admitting our need for Jesus to pay our penalty. Ephesians three twelve (3:12) says, "In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence."
Do you know someone who needs to be set free? Visit sharelifeafrica.org for tips and resources to help you confidently share the Gospel.

Born Free

Monday Jul 17, 2023
You’re listening to ShareLifeAfrica! This time of year, we're reminded of freedom and how blessed we are to be free. You see red, white and blue nearly everywhere in June and July. Why is that? Why do we tend to see firework stands, s'mores, tater tots and hot dogs as the 4th of July approaches?
There's a sense of patriotic pride, all because we're free. But far better than any sort of political freedom we may be given, is the freedom found in Christ. Second Corinthians five seventeen (5:17) says that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. New creations are free from past mistakes simply because they are new! It's truly a miracle—Jesus bringing dead hearts to life and setting captives free. So, who can you share the freedom you've found in Christ with?
If our freedom as a nation is worth celebrating, how much more should we celebrate our freedom from sin! Visit sharelifeafrica.org for tips and resources to help you share the Gospel with others.
