Love, Joy, and Peace

When you placed your trust in Jesus alone, you've experienced the love of God; and there is true joy and peace in knowing where you'll spend eternity. Love, joy, and peace are part of the fruit of the Spirit; and we can use these God-given characteristics to lead people to saving faith in Him. Fruit of the Spirit

You’re listening to ShareLifeAfrica! Have you heard of the "Fruit of the Spirit?" Galatians five twenty-two and twenty-three(5:22-23) list nine characteristics of a Holy Spirit-filled life:

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." When you look at the life of Jesus, you see every one of these qualities. If you'll devote yourself to Him, you'll look like He does! If you're walking close to the Lord, you'll see the Fruit of the Spirit in your own life; and these traits will help you become an effective witness for Jesus!

Now, you may be thinking, "how can I share the Gospel using the Fruit of the Spirit?" Well, think each one and use them in your actions and speech. Let your intentions be out of love, speak with joy, share His peace and be patient with those you share with. Pray to Save

You’re listening to ShareLifeAfrica! Who do you want to see come to know Jesus? Do you have a name? Are you praying for that person? Have you gotten another believer to pray for them with you?

A few years ago, the youth pastor at my church became intentional in discipling teenagers to pray for their lost friends. The ministry started praying just for over one hundred and forty (140) people; and in just the first two months, eighteen of those friends came to a saving faith in Jesus! That’s the power of praying together for the lost! Can you imagine what would happen in the lives of the lost ones that you love if you would get together with other believers to pray for them?

A praying heart is also a heart open to sharing the Gospel, so do both as the Lord leads you and watch as He moves mountains to save the lost and hurting. Break the gates

You’re listening to ShareLifeAfrica! How often are you praying for the lost? Are you praying for God to send someone to share with them? And if you're not praying for opportunities to share the Gospel, you're missing the greatest joy of your Christian life!

Sharing the Gospel truly is a gift from God. So, who are you praying for to come to saving faith in Jesus? Pray for the opportunity to share the Gospel with them. Pray for their heart and mind to be open to the Gospel and pray that you would be ready to share with them when the time comes. A book called the Essentials of Prayer by E.M. Bounds says, "A person who can pray is the mightiest instrument that Christ has in this world. A praying Church is stronger than all the gates of hell."

Jesus Prayed for the Lost

You’re listening to ShareLifeAfrica! Do you realize that Jesus prayed for you? You might be thinking...what did He pray? Well, on the night of His arrest before Calvary, Jesus prayed this: "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world."

This is God's great mission! Right before Jesus was arrested, brutally beaten and killed, He prayed for the lost.He prayed that people would come to know Him -to be with Him in Heaven one day. Are you doing this? Are you praying for the lost? If you're not, let me encourage you to start today.
